Windows 10 Compatibility with Reckon Accounts Business

  • Error 1920: It means QBs Database Manager Service is unable to start. Its Accounts Business needs Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5.1 to be running.

  • Previous versions of Reckon Accounts Business and QuickBooks functioning on newer technology: With technological advancements, older versions are hard to run on new technology. But it has made its latest versions compatible with current technology but issues can come up if you keep using older editions.

  • For separate printer port set the PDF Converter: Allot the QBs V4 PDF converter to a printer port if you are encountering issues while saving a PDF or emailing from Accounts Business. How to set: Go to Devices and Printers> Right click QuickBooks V4 PDF Converter> Printer Properties> Ports tab. Afterwards For assigning QBs V4 PDF Converter to its own port- Click on Add Port> Highlight ‘Local Port’ New Port> Type a name> Okay > Close.

  • Change Internet explorer settings: Go to Tools> Internet options> Security tab and then slide to 'Medium' in Security bar. Then go to Privacy Tab and set to 'Low' in Settings bar.

  • How to make Reckon with Internet Explorer Compatibility View Settings Open Internet Explorer> Go to Tools> Compatibility View Settings and then add the following sites: reckon.com and reckon.co.nz.
