How to Upload or Download files to and from Reckon

You can upload and download the Reckon Accounts company documents or backup files to Hosted by suing the Floating Toolbar which is like a red briefcase icon. Reckon Accounts Hosted is created for storing the data files in the Cloud drive which is known as My Live (Q:) drive. All the data files will be uploaded in this drive in a folder known as ‘upload’ but backup files are not saved in this folder as there is a separate folder for it known as My Backup (B:) drive. A. Uploading the Document

  1. Once you are signed in to Reckon Accounts Hosted, you will find a toolbar appearing on the screen in red briefcase icon.

  2. You will see an Up arrow once you click on it. For uploading the files click on it.

  3. A file browser window will open. Choose the location where you want to upload the files. Select the document and click on it to open the document.

  4. An upload progress bar will appear on screen showing the status of file uploading. Once the upload is completed, you can see the document in Upload Folder’s My Live (Q:) drive. you can find you backup document in my Backup (B:) if you have uploaded a backup file.

  5. From the File Open menu in Reckon Accounts hosted, you can now access the document. You are required to restore the backup document by using File open menu and choose restore a backup copy.

B. Downloading the File:

  1. Click on the appearing toolbar after logging in to your Reckon Accounts Hosted.

  2. For downloading the document, click on the ‘down arrow icon’.

  3. You will see a file browser window appearing. It will go to the documents folder automatically. Select My Live (Q:) or My Backup (B:) drive once you have clicked on the drop down arrow.

  4. Select the correct document which you want to download and tap on it for starting the process of downloading.

  5. You will be asked where to save the download the file i.e. location. It will select Download Folder by default on your PC. You can also change it.

  6. Click on Save button once you have chosen the location of file.

  7. Download will begin.
